Where's Gap?

If you ever came to Lancaster, PA from Philadelphia via Route 30, or from Delaware via Route 41, you know where Gap is.

There are 4 traffic lights in Gap. One located at the Gap Town Clock (Rte 41 and Rte 741 intersection). One at the Gap Diner (Rte 30 and Rte 41 intersection). One at the shopping center (Rte 896 and Rte 41 intersection) and one on the west side of town at the intersection of Rte 772 and Rte 30.

These lights are famously known as being out of sync, so on any day, traffic is backed up. Especially on the nice weekends and holidays.

I often casually walk across heavily traveled Rte 30 with no concern of being run over because the traffic in both directions is stopped, waiting for one of the 4 traffic lights to turn green.

It will start to get very interesting very soon, because the Federal Government just sent tons of money to resurface Rte 30 from Rte 41 and heading west to Rte 896, near Rockvale Square in Ronks.

Inspite of this, Gap is a small village with a strong sense of community.
